¡QUEDAMOS EN LAS TORRES! / ¿Cómo ser fiel a nuestra tradición y, a la vez, construir con dignidad y utilidad para nuestro futuro? Esconderse es tan poco adecuado como exhibirse, por ello, el proyecto busca un equilibrio entre la integración y la presencia. ¡Quedamos en las torres!, hace referencia al carácter nominal que adquiere el lugar que proponemos. Un lugar que se inicia con la reconstrucción de la torre derruida, y desde la cual equidistan dos nuevas torres de 5 x 15 x 15m, construidas con piedra de marés. Las tres torres configuran un espacio abierto y fluido a todas las circulaciones y enmarcan a las demás torres de la muralla, en una idea de continuidad de elementos verticales que estructuran la zona sur de la ciudad medieval. Son torres que han cambiado su función de vigilancia frente al enemigo por miradores de bienvenida para el amigo, al que muestran, desde arriba, el orgullo de nuestra ciudad flanqueada por el mar mediterráneo.

WE MEET IN THE TOWERS! / How can we be faithful to our tradition and, at the same time, build with dignity and usefulness for our future? Hiding is as unsuitable as showing off, so the project seeks a balance between integration and presence. We meet in the towers! refers to the nominal character that the place we propose acquires. A place that begins with the reconstruction of the collapsed tower, and from which two new towers of 5 x 15 x 15m, built with marés stone, are equidistant. The three towers form an open and fluid space for all circulation and frame the other towers of the wall, in an idea of continuity of vertical elements that structure the southern part of the medieval city. They are towers that have changed their function of surveillance against the enemy for viewpoints of welcome for the friend, to whom they show, from above, the pride of our city flanked by the Mediterranean Sea.
